YouTube to Shut Down 'Leanback' TV Interface in Favor of Native Apps

YouTube is retiring its 'Leanback' interface for smart TVs in the coming days. When accessing the web-app though youtube.com/goggle box or youtube.com/leanback (which redirects to the former), the site is displaying a prominent pop-upward bulletin, saying: "This version of YouTube will be going away shortly. You'll withal exist able to view youtube.com, but you can get an optimized experience on a supported device".
